We see multiple mental health related problems including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar and psychosis. Looking for a student interested in staying in the Salt Lake Valley area upon completion of educational program.

Salina Family Medicine is a private practice facility, and is an interesting collaboration between Central Utah Clinic and Gunnison Valley Hospital. The staff includes 1 nurse practitioner with over 9 years of experience, a receptionist and an LPN who are both well-experienced and friendly. A family medicine physician collaborates, and will see ob patients one day a week. Clinic hours are daily from 9am to 5pm except Thursdays, on which day the clinic will be open from Noon until 7pm. The clinic director is a Family Nurse Practitioner, and a National Health Service Corps scholar. He has experience with Meaningful Use, and has previously worked in Federally Qualified Community Health Centers, leading one clinic through the Joint Commission Patient-Centered Medical Home certification process.

Obesity Medicine Clinic within Nutrition and Metabolic Services at St Mark Hospital, we work in conjunction with the surgical bariatric service to provide support and care to patients moving towards bariatric surgery or are experiencing regain or those who are not interested in or eligible for surgery but want to improve their metabolic health. I am the sole provider in the clinic but work with an interdisciplinary team of RDs, RNs, LCSWs, and diabetes educators.

Opportunity to lean how to use motivational interviewing and treat patients holistically in order to help treat underlying issues that cause a multitude of comorbid conditions. Learn about weight bias and stigma and how it creates barriers to care.
