The Loss of a Nursing Leader: Laura Poe

We are sad to report that Laura Poe, former Bureau Manager of the Utah Board of Nursing, died peacefully this afternoon following a short term illness. Laura significantly impacted the nursing profession in this state for the past twenty years. She come up with the concept of the RN Nurse Compact and was the driving force behind the APRN compact making UT the first state to join.

Her obituary is due to come out on Friday.
