Posted about 13 years ago by Wendy Rusin

The ammendments of HB 66, which now advocates for Nurse Practitioners to legally sign death certificates for their patients in Utah, successfully passed through the House and Senate.  The next and final step is the presentation of this bill to our Governor for signature and implementation.

Thank you Representative Last for running this Bill.  The Utah Nurse Practitioners Association appreciates your time and dedication with the ammendments to HB 66.

For details on this and other bills impacting our practice, go to: http://le.utah.gov/  and also look at our Legislative Issues tab for more details.

It is through the active involment of dedicated members of the UNP, that we are able to recognize areas that require our attention and presence in Utah Legislature.

A Special Thank You to Lee Moss, Shirley Bleak and Chris Bleak for all of your hard work leading up to and including your involvement in the 2011 legislative session.

If you have comments or interest in this area, please let us know.  We are also interested in expanding our legislative team during the next several months for some projects that will better help us organize for the 2012 session.  We appreciate your interest.
