Nomination Form

Application Opens:            September 19, 2025

Application Deadline:      October 1, 2025, @ 11:30 p.m.

Utah nurse practitioners are truly amazing and make a powerful impact every day! To keep that momentum strong, we need your continued involvement in UNP. Membership growth and active participation ensure that our professional voice remains strong in Utah healthcare and legislation. Together, we can continue shaping the future of our profession and making a difference for both providers and patients alike.

Please consider how you can support your state NP organization. This includes recruiting for membership, voicing your opinion on the issues, and helping to build better inter-professional relationships.

UNP is excited to welcome you to serve on its Board and Committees! We currently have two Board positions open, offering a wonderful opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact on the future of nurse practitioners in Utah. The time commitment is typically just 2–4 hours per month, making it a manageable and rewarding way to contribute to our profession.

**  If you are nominating another person, please don't forget to let them know you have bestowed this honor on them. :)

Please see the descriptions for open positions below:

Education/Conference Board Seat (2 year term):  Work directly with the Pharmacology Chairs and President for the Annual Pharmacology Conference. This is the largest contribution to the UNP C3 account (tax-exempt education account). The Pharmacology Liaison will specifically be responsible for promoting UNP through SWAG/promotional merchandise. These monies are separate from the C3/education account and are used for the C6/legislation. The Pharmacology Liaison will be responsible for documenting each year’s conference preparation timeline, contacts, financials, accommodations, and space reservations, and will watch the production process in the event that the liaison needs to assume the conference chair/co-chair role for any reason. Though the Pharmacology Chairs are adept and capable, the process documentation can assist in both role transitions and give the Board an awareness of how to proceed in the event of any crisis or emergencies.

Board Member - Membership Recruitment and Retention (2 year term):  The Membership Officer is responsible for reviewing the monthly membership numbers and financials (funds go to UNP legislation efforts, Annual Membership/Awards Dinner and merchandise purchases (jackets, shirts, memorabilia, etc.) in conjunction with the Board. Therefore, membership recruitment and retention is essential to the basic function of the UNP. The Membership Officer will direct student relations, communications regarding membership and renewal (renewals have auto reminders), discounts, promotions, and other communications that may be beneficial to the membership at large. There is autonomy in this role, and creative license is given for membership development with the president and board input. Student membership and fee discount campaigns have been beneficial in the past. The Membership Officer will also work with DOPL, AANP, and other organizations in coalition efforts for membership, encouraging UNP members to also belong to AANP and their specialty organization. DOPL can provide current APRN license numbers and lists for UNP if needed (there is a cost).

If you have any questions or would like to send the nominee's CV or additional information, please feel free to send us an email at nominations@unp.org. **Please reference the nominee's name so that we can match it with this form.**
