National APRN Survey -- Please help!

Posted 3 months ago by Melissa J Hinton

The purpose of the study is to: 1) describe state practice barriers,  2) determine the effect of COVID-19 pandemic-related suspension of all practice restrictions or waiver of select practice agreement requirements in states with reduced or restricted practice, and 3) explore the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on APRN practice.

Dr. Carole Myers has provided updates on the national U.S. APRN survey on the monthly Access to Care Learning Collaborative call.  The survey was launched on June 1, 2020,  to assess impact of APRN practice restrictions and effect of COVID-19 pandemic on APRN practice. However, as of today, there are only 14 responses from Utah out of the total of 5000 national responses. We can do better than that.

The brief, anonymous, voluntary, IRB reviewed survey can be accessed online at:

Please help us obtain a representative state response. The survey will be open several more weeks.  The results will be shared with nursing leaders including state boards of nursing and national APRN organizations, and will be submitted for publication in a peer reviewed journal.

Thanks in advance on behalf of the study-co-investigators!
