Plan Summary (27 KB)

Nurse Practitioners, please take a minute to review the governor's plan for the pandemic in Utah. Each of the points for containment and management of the pandemic relies on us to give accurate information to our patients and the public.

This is a great effort of coordination! If you have any contact with any media outlets, please consider asking them to focus on details of HOW and WHY we are doing social distancing. Some people are not understanding why this is important. In the clinic, I have several people every day (via telemed) that feel the pandemic is manufactured (either by media, the government, other countries, etc.) and are failing to focus on the need to maintain social distancing to not only protect themselves but others that they associate with. In Zion's National Park in Southern Utah, there are masses visiting and hiking on trails that allow close contact, kids going to the recreation areas, and people "hanging out" in the middle of town as if it were Spring Break! This is where the virus will be passed-along and then taken home to our elderly and immunocompromised population.

UNP recognizes that many of you are already involved in the coordination and care of COVID-19. Some of you are on the frontlines caring for decompensated patients. We want to thank you for your time and efforts! We all "just do our job", but it's sometimes thankless and exhausting. Please be safe and take care of YOURSELVES as we move forward.

Many thanks!
