MyUNP Discounts Program Launches November 1st!!!

Posted over 5 years ago by Michael Vreeland

Utah Nurse Practitioners has an exciting new program called MyUNP Discounts. We have established relationships with online hotel merchants, many local and national business chains to offer discounts that are ONLY available to UNP MEMBERS! We have partnered with a marketing & call center, so they can assist the UNP membership to best utilize these deals and assist with troubleshooting issues. The deals are used through a scannable code through our app (coming soon) or a printed coupon from your desktop computer at myUNP.org.

This is a new program, which requires UNP to share minimal membership information. Specifically, your email, zip code and membership ID number. We will not share any information regarding your name, gender, physical mailing address or any other sensitive information. Utah Nurse Practitioners takes very seriously your privacy, just as we would with our patients. The data points allow our marketing team to send you periodic emails AND information specific to your general location. But please communicate to us if you wish to be opted-out of this program. Additionally, you can opt-out at any time. Just contact us via email and we will remove you the next calendar month cycle. Newly joining members will be auto-enrolled to the MyUNP Discounts Program and can opt-out at any time.

When I first became president, a member asked me, "Why should I join UNP and what's in it for me? And don't tell me LEGISLATION!" This member earnestly wanted UNP to grow and challenged me to determine UNP's monetary value. I went home and started drafting ALL the benefits UNP had to offer to its members and attempted to quantify as if UNP membership was an investment

This mental excercise led me to this realization: UNP protects your practice and hosts the Pharmacology Conference, offering discounted rates to UNP members  (BOTH EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, MIND YOU!), but... little of anything else. I have been obsessed ever since. One of my priorities was to establish relationships with local businesses. I think we're off to a good start. It's dedicated nurse practitioners like this membership that keeps me motivated. Thank you!

Happy Bargain Shopping!

Warmest regards,

Mike Vreeland, APRN
