60-80% of primary care visits are stress related. Hypnosis, hypnotherapy and guided imagery are tools a clinician can call on to assist patients address their stressors. Understanding Hypnosis in a lecture format will explain the clinical components and neurophysiology of hypnosis. Easing into comfort is experiential in nature, and is both relaxation focused and hypnotic. The foundation will help a clinician understand why hypnosis/hypnotherapy/ guided imagery are so essential to healing mind and body.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this program, participants will be able to identify what kind of problems may benefit from hypnosis or hypnotherapy and how to assist patients to access this care.
